They are always wonderful giving advice on books or guide you to some gem you have not yet discovered. Their second hand collection is wonderful, specially the children one. Also, they take custom orders and call you to pick up when it arrives so check with them before ordering from Amazon!

I just love love love Sandpiper Books. From the day I discovered it, I kept coming back regularly. My bank account is not really happy about it, but what can I say? They have an extensive selection of both new and used books and I just want to buy them all. Staff and the owner are very knowledgeable and helpful. If they don't have in stock the book you are looking for, you can always order it with them directly. And if you are skeptical about prices compared to Amazon, I checked the price for a book with both, and Sandpiper was actually cheaper.

I thought "What a wonderful discovery I have made" finding a book store that has such a warm and loving personality. The owner, Tish, presents you with a kind of magical exposure to the often exciting world of imagery in print to stimulate your imagination. Each book accepted for resale at her store is lovingly cleaned and placed in a manner which leaves one thinking that these books are beckoning you to pick up them up and enrich your life. And I always leave feeling that I must return to find another joy. If I do not find something I know that the owner will warm my heart with good will and surely the next visit another treasure will be found.

This place is amazing I actually found them through bookshop.com and wanted to drop some books off. They are neatly organized and have a nice collection of new books and stuff that definitely fits what I'm looking for :) The nice lady had actually just read one of the ones I just bought! I'm definitely coming back I am very surprised this place has been around for thirty years. How can I have missed it? Support your local businesses and small bookstores!!! New and Used books.* Its also very indie which means you will find some extra cool books.

One of my favorite bookstores! The owner is so nice and the amount of books is astonishing everytime I come in. My favorite section is the children's section just because of how large it is. There is a good mix of good and older books!

If you are looking to support a small business with an amazing selection and vibe this bookstore is the way to go. The employees are so nice and welcoming I didn't feel nervous to ask for recommendations. The have new and used books so if you don't have much to spend or you wanna splurge a bit it's all there. I thought the candles and metal pins were so cool. Definitely has a community vibe. Definitely will go again✨

amazing bookstore. such a great selection of new and used books. very organized and the owner/lady at register is so sweet and knowledgeable. it’s so nice to buy from someone who is passionate about what they’ve curated. everyone should be stopping here to browse for books!

I love independent & old fashion bookstores like this one. I've been here twice & it's near my volunteer work LCM (Little Company of Mary) down the street on Torrance Blvd. One of the employees I know is my former substitute teacher from my school days and the lady at the front desk I got know as well. Friendly service and convenient to Vons as well. Plus it has some of the books from my childhood like Franklin & Clifford. Everytime I stop by here it's like going down memory lane and I will keep shopping whenever and showing my support. 📚

This bookstore makes excellent use of its space in a typical LA strip mall and is brimming with a great selection of new and used books. Support indie bookstores!
